When rooms that connect are booked under the same guest reservation they are treated as one room by housekeeping. Use Locations to configure these connecting rooms and virtual suites to reflect as one room in ALICE Housekeeping.

Adjoining rooms can be classified as Connecting Rooms or Virtual Suites

Connecting Rooms are two or more individual, component adjoining rooms that are not referenced with a distinct naming convention in the PMS.

Example: Room 1 and Room 2 have an adjoining door. They can be booked by the same guest and will be considered one reservation. When they are booked as a unit, these rooms are identified as adjoining rooms in the PMS.

Virtual Suites are two or more individual, component adjoining rooms that are referenced with a distinct naming convention in the PMS.

Example: Room 1 and Room 2 have an adjoining door. They can be booked by the same guest and considered one reservation. When they are booked as a unit, these rooms are identified as “Virtual Suite A” in the PMS.
