Add or Edit Message Templates

Message templates can be used for Guest Messaging messages. Create Message Templates for frequently used SMS or Broadcast guest messages. These standardized responses will save staff time and ensure that messages sent to guests are consistent and on-brand.

User Type & Roles

To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Hotel User Admin or Admin User Type access.

The user must have “Can Manage Chat Message Templates” enabled within their user profile.

Things to Consider

  • Contact support@actabl.com to configure other types of templates (Confirmation Letters or Itineraries)

  • Links must be spelled out and cannot be added as hyperlinks.

  • DO NOT DELETE message templates. This could affect data in the Reports tab. Contact your Customer Success Manager or support@actabl.com for assistance.

  • Use the Filters to search for message templates as needed. First, expand the filter section by selecting “+Filters”, then enter the search criteria.

Add Message Template

Steps

  1. Select Message Templates from the ALICE Admin menu.

  2. Select “Add Message Template”.

  3. Type in a message title in the “Message Template Name” field.

  4. Select “Hotel” from the Message Template Scope dropdown.

  5. Select “Guest Message” from the Message Template Type dropdown.

  6. Enter the message content in the “Message Template” field.

  7. Do not select “Is Default”

  8. Select “Save” to add the SMS template.

Edit Message Template

Steps

  1. Select Message Templates from the ALICE Admin menu.

  2. Select a Message Template to highlight.

  3. Select “Edit Message Template”.

  4. Update the Message Template details as needed.

  5. Select “Save” to update the SMS template.
