Guest Messaging gives front-office staff the power to communicate with guests through their preferred method of communication. ALICE supports sending of Short Messaging Service or SMS through ALICE Guest Messaging.

To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Employee User Type access.

The user must also have the following settings within “Roles” enabled”

  1. Select “New Message”.

  2. Type the guest’s name in the search box and select the guest. If the guest does not exist in your hotel, you are able to add the guest by clicking on the “+Add Guest” link next to the search box.

  3. Type a message or select a message template by selecting “Choose Template”. Messages have a limit of 160 characters per segment. Learn more about SMS Character Count and Segment Count.

    After choosing a template, the message will autofill the text field. The message may be edited as needed.

  4. Send now - Select “Send Message” at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
