Guest Messaging gives front-office staff the power to communicate with guests through their preferred method of communication.

🔐 User Type & Roles

To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Employee User Type access.

The user must also have the following settings within “Roles” enabled”

  • Access to “SMS/Chat” tab.

(lightbulb) Things to Consider

  • Accounts that have purchased Guest Messaging will see an “SMS” tab. This is where guest text messages are managed.

  • The first time a message is sent to a guest, the guest will also receive an automated compliance message allowing them to opt-out of future communication.
    ”To no longer receive messages, please reply with STOP. Msg & Data rates may apply.”

⚙ Steps

  1. Select “New Message”.

  2. Type the guest’s name in the search box and select the guest. If the guest does not exist in your hotel, you are able to add the guest by clicking on the “+Add Guest” link next to the search box.

  3. Type a message or select a message template by selecting “Choose Template”.

    After choosing a template, the message will autofill the text field. The message may be edited as needed.

  4. Send now - Select “Send Message” at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
