Reorder Rooms List - Mobile

Prioritize rooms on a room attendant’s board by reordering the list of rooms from the ALICE Staff app.

User Type & Roles

To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Employee User Type access.

The user must also have the following settings within “Roles” enabled”

  • Access to “Rooms” tab.

  • Access to “Rooms”, “All Rooms”, and “Staff” under Room Assignment Mobile Tabs.

    Access to “Edit” in Rooms (Room Assignment).


Things to Consider

  • Rooms cannot be reordered if Autopilot is turned on. It would need to be turned off from the Rooms tab on web (laptop/desktop) in order to proceed with a reorder from mobile. 

  • To avoid conflict, ALICE doesn’t allow staff members to edit the same board simultaneously. If changes are being made to the room status, a room is being added or removed, or a cleaning task is being overridden, ALICE will display a notification.


  1. Select “Staff” from the menu at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select a room attendant’s name to access their board.

  3. Tap the icon at the top left corner of the screen to enter “Edit Mode”.

  4. Tap an arrow to move the room up or down the list. To move it quickly along the list, hold the arrow until the room has reached the desired rank. ALICE displays the room’s position as long as you press the arrow. 

  5. Tap the green checkmark to save your changes. To cancel any changes, simply tap the red “X” on the top left corner of the screen.
