The Shift Log in ALICE can easily be enabled by any Hotel Admin user to provide a space to add notes to record important information from a particular shift.
Once enabled, set up an email distribution to send a digest of the day’s Shift Log entries via email.
User Type & Roles
To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Hotel Admin User Type access.
Things to Consider
Shift Log emails are set to send automatically at 5:00 AM EST. The time that the emails are sent cannot be customized.
The Shift Log email will capture the Note Text, Room(if applicable), the time of note creation, and the user who created the note. These fields cannot be customized.
Shift Log is only accessible from ALICE Desktop (web) and is not accessible from ALICE Staff App (mobile).
Navigate to ALICE Admin by selecting the user profile icon in the upper right hand corner. Then Select “Admin”
Select “Shift Log” from the ALICE Admin menu.
Select the checkbox for “Enable Shift Log”
Use the text field to enter the email(s) of the intended recipients of the Shift Log email distribution. The emails should be listed one per row.
