The Shift Log in ALICE can easily be enabled by any Hotel Admin user to provide a space to add notes to record important information from a particular shift.
User Type & Roles
To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Employee User Type access.
The user must also have the following settings within “Roles” enabled”
Access to “Tickets List” tab.
Things to Consider
Shift Log is only accessible from ALICE Desktop (web) and is not accessible from ALICE Staff App (mobile).
Any user with access to the Tickets List tab on mobile will have access to add entries to the Shift Log from ALICE Desktop (web). There is not a way to restrict user access to the Shift Log.
The High Priority checkbox will emphasize the entry within the Shift Log list. The text will be bold and within a grey checkbox.
Select the Shift Log button from the Ticket tab. This will open the Shift Log.
Use the fields at the bottom of the Shift Log window to add an entry.
If the entry is related to a guest, use the search bar to find the room number or search by guest name. Use the text box to enter notes. Select the “High Priority” checkbox to emphasize the note in the Shift Log. The text will be in bold and within a grey box.
Select “Add Note” to add the entry to the Shift Log.
Select “End Shift” to add a timestamp marking the end of the user’s shift. A user cannot end a shift on behalf of another user.
