Add, Edit, or Cancel an OpenTable Reservation

ALICE integrates with OpenTable to make it easy for users to create a reservation on behalf of guests. To set up the OpenTable integration in your account, reach out to

User Type & Roles

To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Employee User Type access.

The user must also have the following settings within “Roles” enabled”

  • Access to “Ticket List” tab.

  • Access to “Add” Tickets.


  • Access to “Manage” OpenTable.


Users with “View” access will also receive notifications for unassigned tickets.

  • The OpenTable integration must be enabled by ALICE staff.

Add an OpenTable Reservation


  1. Select “+Guest Reservation” then, select a service to create a reservation.

  2. Enter ticket data, including reservation date, time, and number in the party. (Fields may vary by property.)

  3. Select a vendor/restaurant. (Field name may vary by property.)

  4. If the restaurant exists in OpenTable, the OpenTable button will automatically appear next to the selected vendor name.

  5. Select the OpenTable button.

  6. In the new OpenTable window, enter the search criteria. Details previously entered in the ticket fields in ALICE will automatically populate in the OpenTable window.

  7. Select “Find a Table” to view restaurant availability.

  8. Select the desired reservation time to access the reservation form.

  9. The reservation form will populate the following fields:
    Concierge: indicates who will get OpenTable points for the reservation. 
    Guest Phone: The guest’s contact number. This number will pull from the guest reservation information in ALICE.
    Special Requests: Use this field to communicate to the vendor. A default message will automatically populate: “Please contact the ((Property Name)) concierge desk at ((Phone / Extension)) with any questions or updates about this reservation.”

  10. Press “Complete” to submit your request to OpenTable. A confirmation message should appear.


Edit an OpenTable Reservation


  1. Find the ticket with the OpenTable reservation and open the ticket details.

  2. Select “OpenTable” below the restaurant name. This will open up the availability search. 

  3. Select the time you want to reserve.

  4. Update the reservation form as needed, then select “Complete” to submit the changes to OpenTable.


In some cases, it may be necessary to request that the vendor update the OpenTable reservation. To view OpenTable reservation updates in ALICE, select the sync icon from within the ticket details.



Cancel an OpenTable Reservation


  1. Select a ticket to view ticket details.

  2. Select the “OpenTable” button in the reservation information. 

  3. On the availability search window, select “Cancel Reservation”.

  4. Select “Yes” on the confirmation dialogue to cancel.

The ticket status in ALICE will automatically be updated to a canceled status.
