Schedule Associated Tickets from Inventory Item

Tickets can be created, scheduled, and linked to Inventory Items within a Logbook.

This feature is primarily used to schedule Preventative Maintenance tickets for equipment assets in the Equipment Logbook, where equipment assets are the Inventory Items

User Type & Roles

To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Employee User Type access.

The user must also have the following settings within “Roles” enabled”

  • Access to “Logbooks” tab.

  • Access to “Add” and “View” Tickets.

Things to Consider

  • “Associated Tickets” must be enabled in the account to schedule tickets from an Inventory Item. If you do not see the Associated Tickets tab within the Inventory Item details in Logbooks, please reach out support@actabl.com

Steps

Navigate to the Logbook tab, then select a Logbook using the icons in the left column.

  1. Select an Inventory Item from the Logbook to view the item details.

  2. Select the “Associated Tickets” tab within the Inventory Item details.

Within the Associated Tickets section, you can add tickets, schedule tickets, and view existing tickets. Filter existing tickets by toggling between “Open”, “Closed”, or “All”. 

Schedule Associated Tickets Individually

Within the Logbook Item details, find the “Associated Ticket” section.

  1. Select “+Add” under the “Schedule” section to access the ticket creation pop-up. 

  2. Select a Service from the dropdown and add any relevant ticket information. Required fields are noted with an asterisk.

  3. Enable “Roll Over” if unfinished tickets should be transferred to the next consecutive day until the ticket is marked as finished/complete.

  4. Enable “Repeat” to set the ticket to repeat on a scheduled cadence.

  5. Select “Save” to create the ticket.

Best Practices:
Enabling Roll Over can help your teams ensure that tickets don’t fall through the cracks since they will show up as an open ticket every day until they are closed. To learn more about Roll Over feature in ALICE, click here.
