ALICE Guest Messaging Template Tags

When creating templates for Guest Messaging (GuestMessage and SMSConfirmation), Admins have the ability to use Template Tags to automatically pull information into the message at the time of sending for the guest. All Template Tags use the following format {tags}, with the text inside the brackets being replaced automatically.

User Type & Roles

To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Administrator access, with permissions to Can Manage Chat Message Templates on the individual user settings.

Available Tags for GuestMessage Templates and Broadcast Emails / SMS

{First} - First Name of Guest.

{Last} - Last Name of Guest.

{Room} - Guest's room.

{ConfNo} - Confirmation Number of Guest.

{ResNo} - Reservation Number.

{ResDays} - Days Staying.

{ResStart} - When reservation starts.

{ResEnd} - When reservation ends.

{ResEmail} - Email on Reservation.

{ResPhone} - Phone on Reservation.

{ResNotes} - Any Notes on the Reservation.

{guest-name-prefix} - Reservation prefix name.

{User.FirstName} - First name of current ALICE user.

{User.LastName} - Last name of current ALICE user.

{User.Email} - Email of current ALICE user.

{User.Position} - Position of current ALICE user.

{First} - First Name of Guest.

{vendor-name} - Vendor Name from the Contact type field

{vendor-phone} - Vendor Phone

{vendor-web} - Vendor Website

{vendor-address} - Vendor Full Address

{vendor-map-link} - Link to Vendor Map Link for Google Maps (URL should the automatically shortened if possible)

{value-of=[Service Option Name]} - The input of a custom field (Service Option). For example, if your Service Option is called 'Party Size', then you would use: {value-of=[Party Size]}. The template would then display the Party Size for that ticket. Please see the sample below for more context.

When using {value-of=[Service Option Name]}, the Service Option Name must match exactly the name of your Service Option configured in admin:

 

{due-date} - Ticket due date (with no time)
{due-time} - Ticket due date (only time)

{due "any date format template"} - Ticket due date in your format. Pay attention, you should enter format in double quotes after word "due". In case if format will be no correct, you will not see due date.
