Merge Guest Reservations

If duplicate reservations exist in ALICE, it is possible to merge them. Merging reservations is a permanent action that cannot be undone.

User Type & Roles

To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Employee User Type access.

The user must also have the following settings within “Roles” enabled”

  • Access to the “Guests” tab.

  • Access to “View” and “Merge” under Guest Information.

Things to Consider

  • Check to see if the guest reservation is duplicated within the PMS. If so, merge the data in the PMS first before merging in ALICE. Otherwise, the PMS will push the duplicate records to ALICE again the next time the data is updated.

  • Tickets or Itineraries associated with guest reservations will be consolidated into the remaining reservation.

Steps

  1. Select the guest reservations that need to be merged by selecting the checkboxes to the left. Up to 7 reservations can be merged at one time.

  2. Select “Merge”.

  3. Select the dropdown to choose the “Reservation to Keep”. The reservation selected to keep will be the only record to remain.

  4. Review the data in the “Merged Preview” section. Add any missing information to this section. If multiple values exist for a given field, select the link and choose the value to keep.

  5. Select “Merge”
