Unlock Users
When a user has 10 unsuccessful login attempts, the user account will be locked to provide added security to the ALICE account. The user account must be unlocked by a Hotel User Admin or Hotel Admin and the password must be reset.
User Type & Roles
To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Hotel User Admin User Type access.
Things to Consider
After the 10th unsuccessful login attempt, an error message will display.
All Hotel User Admins and Hotel Admins will receive an email notifying them when a user has been locked out.
Use the “Status” Filter to filter the user list to “Locked” to easily find any Locked Users.
Steps
Select one or more users from the user list.
Select “Manage Status”
Use the “Locked” checkbox - Uncheck the box to unlock a user account, then select “Apply” to save the change.
The user account will be unlocked, which means they will have another 10 attempts to login successfully.
If the user does not remember their login credentials, they will once again be locked out of ALICE.
The username is visible in the Users List as shown in the first column of the screenshot above.
If the user has forgotten the password, it needs to be reset. Review Reset User Password to learn more.
